Born in Germany, Helmut Jahn graduated from the Technische
Hochschule in Munich. He came to the United States for graduate studies
in architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Today, he is
President and Chief Executive Officer of Murphy/Jahn, which received the
2005 AIA National Firm Award. Mr. Jahn has been called Chicago's premier
architect who has dramatically changed the face of the city. He is committed
to design excellence and the improvement of the urban environment. Mr.
Jahn's projects have been recognized globally for design innovation, vitality
and integrity. His growing national and international reputation has led
to commissions across the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia.
